Fly Fan FAQs
Why is the fan barely or not spinning?
- Batteries need to be replaced.
- During shipping and handling the top of the fan got pressed down too far. This causes the fan blades to be squished against the base. Simply use a flat-head screwdriver to create a bit of space between the top and base.
How many fans do I need?
For maximum efficacy, it's recommended to use the fan between dishes or for each dish, with the highest effectiveness being within 12 inches under the fan blades. Beyond that range, flies become bolder and may try to land on your food. As a general rule, for a 6ft table, two fans are recommended, and for an 8ft table, four fans are recommended.
Will the fly fans chop up the flies?
No. You won’t have flies dive bombing between the blades and getting split into pieces. The flies will not try to get near the fan as it appears like a threat to them. They may find another way or path to get to your food and as such you may need to move the fan to another location.
